By, Stella Rose Release Date: May 10, 2016
When celebrity photographer Macy Ferris is released from rehab after suffering a mental collapse and dealing with alcohol addiction, she is forced to pull her life back together and hopefully salvage what's left of her once very successful career. Her first assignment back on the job entails her accompanying a reporter to fallen country music star Ryland Quinn's private ranch to find out why he's dropped out of the public eye and left his music career behind. Despite the fact that being send out to a secluded Montana ranch was a far cry from the A-list celebrity events she was accustomed to in New York, Macy puts everything she has into this assignment, determined to get her life back on track again.
But dealing with bitter and cantankerous Ryland Quinn proves to be more than Macy had bargained for. Wanting to make a good impression, and land their big story, Macy plays nice with Ryland in hopes of breaking through his rough exterior. The more Macy gets to know Ryland the more she realizes that they might have more in common than she first thought. Macy recognizes a darkness within Ryland that she knows all too well and has been fighting her whole life to escape.
Stella is an Arizona native but now lives in the foothills of the beautiful Rocky Mountains with her husband and young son. Self-proclaimed nerd and confessed coffee addict, Stella can often be found late at night watching Star Trek reruns while she writes (looks at Facebook) or does homework (looks at more Facebook). Her hobbies include wondering where the time went and looking for her son’s other shoe. Still pursuing her education while she works her day job and does the writing thing, Stella is hoping to test the capacity of the human brain by stuffing it with as much stuff as possible and then seeing what happens.
